Buffalo Nicknamed “Donald Trump” Goes Viral in Bangladesh

A rare albino buffalo has become an unexpected internet star in Bangladesh after being nicknamed “Donald Trump”. The 700-kilogram bull, with its distinctive flowing golden-blond hair and pinkish skin, has drawn huge crowds of visitors and selfie enthusiasts at a farm in Narayanganj, near Dhaka.

The buffalo’s owner, Zia Uddin Mridha, said his younger brother gave it the name because of its striking resemblance to the US President’s famous hairstyle. The animal has gained massive popularity on social media ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, with people flocking to see and take pictures with the “Commander-in-Beef,” as some jokingly call it.

The viral buffalo is not alone, another albino buffalo on the same farm has been nicknamed “Benjamin Netanyahu.” Both animals have created a buzz, with visitors comparing their unique features to world leaders.

Although the “Donald Trump” buffalo has already been sold and is due to be sacrificed during Eid, the owner has kept it on display to allow people to continue visiting. The light-hearted viral trend has brought smiles across Bangladesh and even internationally, turning a simple farm animal into a social media celebrity.

This unusual story highlights how creativity and humour often surface during the festive Eid season in Bangladesh.
