Hassan Jahangir Talks About Rekha’s Love Letter

Hassan Jahangir is a well-known Pakistani singer whose career started back in 1986. He became famous with his hit song “Hawa Hawa,” and also gave popular songs like “Hato Bacho” and “Pyar Pakistan.” His music became a big hit in India too, where he was warmly welcomed by fans around 40 years ago. Many famous Indian stars admired him, including Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan, and Salman Khan.

Recently, Hassan Jahangir appeared as a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast called “Excuse Me.” During the show, he opened up about receiving a love letter from Indian actress Rekha many years ago, when “Hawa Hawa” was at the peak of its fame.

When the host asked him directly if the story about Rekha’s letter was true, Hassan Jahangir gave a mysterious answer. He said love can happen at any age, and some things are better kept private. He added that he was loved by people all over India and never faced any problems there. He also mentioned that he shares a warm friendship with several big Bollywood stars, including Madhuri Dixit, Govinda, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Mithun Chakraborty, and that they still exchange friendly messages.

During the same conversation, the singer also shared a regret from his career. He revealed that he was offered six to seven lead roles in Indian films alongside major stars like Neelam and Madhuri Dixit. However, he turned down all the offers and returned to Pakistan, a decision he says he now regrets, believing any of those films could have become a huge hit.
