A court in Pakistan has given police five days of physical remand to question four men accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting two foreign women. The suspects, Ahmad Raza Dar, Sikandar Aziz Khan, Hassan Raza, and Sajid Ali, were arrested on July 2 and brought before a judicial magistrate.
Police had asked for 14 days of custody to recover the weapon used in the crime, find the ransom money, and finish the investigation. The judge approved five days instead.
According to Deputy District Public Prosecutor Nazar Iqbal, the case involves gang rape, since more than one person was involved. He also confirmed that the victims were held at a hidden location, and the attackers demanded a ransom for their release.
The victims, a woman from the Netherlands and another from Venezuela, were rescued by police from Lahore’s Defense neighborhood. They had come to Pakistan after Ahmad Raza Dar, someone they had met in Singapore in October 2025, invited them to visit.
Officials say the women were kidnapped on June 29 by a group demanding $1.5 million and were repeatedly assaulted while held captive. The rescue happened after one victim’s father called Pakistani police from Spain for emergency help. Using city surveillance cameras, police tracked down the location and freed the women within just two hours.
