Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got married on Friday in New York City. The wedding took place at Madison Square Garden and brought together many celebrities. People are calling it “America’s royal wedding.”
The wedding happened during a special weekend, as the United States marked its 250th birthday. It was also during a very hot heatwave. The couple kept the wedding secret. They did not announce any details in advance, and guests reportedly had to sign non-disclosure agreements.

Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, later shared some details. The couple did not have regular bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Swift’s brother Austin stood as her “man of honour,” and Kelce’s brother Jason served as best man. Comedian and actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. Swift wore an outfit by Christian Dior, along with Cartier jewellery, while both wore custom shoes by Christian Louboutin.

Many stars attended, including Gigi Hadid, Hugh Grant, Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, and singers Benson Boone and Camila Cabello. Fans, known as “Swifties,” gathered outside the venue to celebrate, even though heavy rain later sent many of them home. Singers Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw reportedly performed at the reception, and Ed Sheeran was also rumoured to join.

The couple donated $26 million to different charities to mark their wedding. Swift and Kelce got engaged last August. Swift recently had a very successful year with her album “The Life of a Showgirl,” while Kelce continues to play for the Kansas City Chiefs.
