Pakistan’s social media has been buzzing with the story of a truly remarkable delivery rider who goes by the name Ali Panda Wala. A viral video shows Ali, a Foodpanda delivery rider who does not have legs, continuing to work long hours delivering orders across the city, in full sun, in the rain, and everything in between.
The video begins with Ali descending a flight of stairs entirely on his own, with the sun blazing and the heat looking punishing. In one hand, he carries a coffee delivery. With practiced ease, he makes his way toward his motorcycle, specially modified so he can operate it entirely with his arms, before lifting himself and riding off for his next order.
Ali is not alone in this spirit of resilience. Another Foodpanda rider, Muhammad Fahad, lost both hands in a car accident when he was just two years old, yet he works 10 to 12 hours a day delivering food to customers. He told reporters that he wanted to prove that disability is not an obstacle to earning an honest living.
Fahad said his parents taught him never to beg. “My father once said no matter if you earn Rs100 in the whole day, we will manage, but never ask for money,” he shared.
Stories like these have struck a deep emotional chord with Pakistanis online, reminding millions that hard work and dignity go hand in hand. These riders are not looking for sympathy, they are simply out there, every day, getting the job done. Their stories are a powerful reminder that the human spirit, when determined, can overcome almost any obstacle life throws in its path.
