Pakistani actress and model Meherunisa Iqbal has shared a personal experience from the time of the coronavirus pandemic. She revealed that while shooting for a drama, she faced inappropriate behaviour and harsh treatment from a senior actress.
Meherunisa explained that those days were extremely busy. She was working long hours and also missing her family a lot. One day she started feeling unwell. She requested the producers to arrange a vehicle so she could go for a medical check-up during a break.
After returning to the set, the senior actress asked about her health. Meherunisa honestly told her about her condition and the check-up she had just completed. The senior actress reacted strongly. She said that Meherunisa might have corona and that she had even hugged her earlier on the set, which could have infected her as well.
Meherunisa said this response hurt her deeply. At that time she was already under mental pressure because of continuous work, tiredness, and being away from her loved ones. The senior actress’s words made the situation even more difficult for her.
Later, the producers of the drama apologised to Meherunisa for the incident. They also expressed regret over the way the senior actress had behaved.
