Indian singer Sunanda Sharma recently opened up about a meaningful conversation she had with a close Muslim friend, who shared a teaching from the Quran that left a lasting impression on her. She spoke about this during a recent podcast appearance.
Sunanda, known for popular songs like Jaani Tera Naa, Duji Vaar Pyar, Morni, and Pagal Nahi Hona, explained that her friend once shared a Quranic teaching about compatibility between people. She said the verse spoke about how good women are meant for good men, and good men for good women.
The singer said this teaching also made her reflect on a deeper truth about human nature. She explained that people with certain flaws often end up attracting others with similar traits. She clarified that by “flaws,” she did not mean a person’s character or morals, but emotional patterns and behaviours. She gave her own example, saying if she had a shortcoming like being disloyal, she would likely attract a partner with a similar trait.
According to Sunanda, a real connection only happens when two people share similar values and are on the same emotional wavelength. She said she did not see this as a punishment, but as a path toward becoming a better person.
She added that the journey to finding the right partner often comes with struggles and heartbreak, but these challenges eventually help a person grow and improve.
Her reflections sparked interest online, with many appreciating her openness to learning from different faiths and perspectives.
