Pakistani singer Hasan Raheem’s popular Coke Studio track “Peechay Hutt” has found its way onto the soundtrack of Netflix’s new dance comedy film, “Best of the Best.” The movie began streaming on the platform on September 18, 2026.
The film follows two childhood friends, Maya and Anjali, who join a competitive Bollywood-fusion dance team at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and work toward winning a national championship in the United States.
“Peechay Hutt” originally debuted in Coke Studio’s 14th season, released on February 19, 2022. The track features Hasan Raheem alongside sister duo Justin Bibis and producer Talal Qureshi. Its official music video has crossed 28 million views on YouTube.
Raheem penned the lyrics, while the song’s concept was developed together with Talal Qureshi and Xulfi, who also worked on the composition, arrangement and production, with Qureshi crafting the song’s catchy hook.
Alongside “Peechay Hutt,” the Netflix soundtrack brings together a wide mix of global music, including songs from K-pop acts BLACKPINK and ENHYPEN, rapper Hanumankind, and composer A.R. Rahman, blending Pakistani and South Asian sounds with international pop and hip-hop.
Directed by Lena Khan, the film stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Maya and Priyanka Kedia as Anjali, with comedian Hasan Minhaj playing Professor Hamza Latif.
