A public disagreement has broken out among Pakistani television actresses after veteran star Saba Faisal shared her views on divorce, sparking backlash from fellow actress Hira Khan and a sharp response from Saba’s daughter, Sadia Faisal.
The dispute began when a clip of Saba Faisal circulated online in which she spoke about how divorce is viewed differently today compared to earlier generations. She said families once treated separation as a painful, shameful event, while attitudes have since become far more casual.
Hira Khan pushed back strongly on her Instagram Story, saying it would be better for parents to accept their children’s difficult decisions than to one day mourn them at a funeral. She added that she had criticized Saba before and stood by her opinion, writing bluntly that the senior actress “needs help.”
Sadia Faisal, defending her mother, responded on her own Instagram Story, reposting a screenshot of Hira’s comment and mocking her as a “so-called actress.” She followed up with a pointed remark in Urdu, essentially asking Hira who she thinks she is.
This is not the first clash between the two; Hira and Sadia sparred similarly in 2024 after Saba made comments about the importance of raising sons. The renewed exchange has again divided fans online, with some defending Hira’s outspokenness and others accusing her of disrespecting a senior industry figure.
