Pakistani actress and TV host Nadia Khan has responded sharply to writer Saima Akram Chaudhry after she suggested Nadia should see a psychiatrist.
The disagreement began after Nadia criticized actress Sajal Aly’s dialogue delivery in a recent scene from the drama Zanjeerain. On her show Kya Drama Hai, Nadia acted out the scene where Sajal Aly’s character, Rabia, is shown running for her life and calling out for help. Nadia felt the performance did not look convincing enough for someone in real danger, and she imitated the scene in her own style to make her point.

Her comments did not go down well with writer Saima Akram Chaudhry, who hit back strongly. Saima said Nadia needed a psychiatrist for the way she behaves, and called her a poor actress who had once ruined a script Saima had written, referring to their earlier project together, Kaisi Aurat Hoon Main. Saima said Nadia should not be criticizing others when her own performance had let down a strong story.

Nadia did not stay quiet. She replied that she had indeed taken Saima’s advice and visited a psychiatrist. According to Nadia, the doctor jokingly diagnosed her with “Truth Syndrome,” meaning she simply says what she believes is true. Nadia added that instead of attacking people who give honest feedback, the real focus should be on fixing mistakes in production and improving the quality of writing in dramas.
The exchange has caught the attention of fans and industry followers, with many sharing their opinions online about who was right in the debate.
