Is Pinky Only a Pawn? NA Committee Raises Big Questions on 18-Year Drug Empire

A meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior on Tuesday raised serious doubts about the high-profile cocaine case involving Anmol alias Pinky. Some committee members believe she may be just a front or fake persona, while the real network kingpin remains in hiding.

One member shared a personal story from his constituency. A drug addict died, and police recovered a coin with Pinky’s name from his belongings. He suggested the case points to a much larger, undisclosed drug network operating behind the scenes rather than a single person.

Another lawmaker pointed out alleged inconsistencies. Pinky is accused of running the drug business for nearly 18 years, yet she was arrested only after a short video went viral on social media. This raised questions about why authorities acted so late despite the long-running operation.

Pinky, arrested in mid-May 2026 in Karachi, faces serious charges of cocaine trafficking, murder, and running a large network supplying elite clients in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Investigators claim her contact list includes hundreds of high-profile individuals, including politicians, businessmen, and showbiz figures. She allegedly sold drugs worth millions of rupees monthly.

The committee is pressing for a deeper investigation into possible official protection and bigger players. The case has shocked the nation and highlighted the growing cocaine problem in Pakistan’s urban areas. Authorities say further probes are ongoing.
