Pakistani drama fans are talking about a new on-screen pairing. Momal Sheikh and Humayoun Ashraf, both popular television actors, are currently starring together in Geo TV’s drama Beti Ka Gher Konsa. The show is written by Seema Ghazal and directed by Zahid Mehmood, presented by Geo TV and 7th Sky Entertainment. It follows a familiar saas-bahu-style family story.
In a recent episode, the drama showed the wedding of Momal’s character, Fiza and Humayun’s character. Momal wore a dull gold lehenga, while Humayoun wore an off-white and gold sherwani for the ceremony. Geo TV shared a clip of the scene on its official Instagram page, and it quickly caught viewers’ attention.

However, not all the attention was positive. Many viewers took to social media to comment on the age gap they felt was visible between the two leads. Several users said Momal looked much older next to Humayoun, with some comparing their on-screen chemistry to a mother-and-son dynamic rather than a couple. Others questioned the casting choice altogether, asking why a different actress wasn’t picked for the role.

This is not the first time Pakistani dramas have faced this kind of criticism. On-screen pairings are often judged closely by audiences, and actresses in particular tend to receive harsher comments about their looks and age compared to their male co-stars.
As of now, neither Momal Sheikh nor Humayoun Ashraf have responded publicly to the comments. The drama continues to air on Geo TV.
