Zoha Waseem Opens Up About Fame and Pressure After “Majboor” Success

Singer Zoha Waseem, who became a household name after her viral hit “Majboor,” recently spoke openly about the pressures that come with fame, especially for women in the entertainment industry.

In a candid interview, Zoha shared that life changed quickly after her song became popular. She said popularity is something you cannot fully understand until you experience it, adding that staying in the spotlight means being extra careful about everything she does.

The singer also spoke about the different challenges faced by male and female celebrities. She feels women are judged more harshly and have to watch their words, actions, and even their clothing closely, since any moment can be filmed and shared online without permission. Zoha said she finds it hard to relax around new people because of the risk of being misunderstood or misrepresented.

Talking about online hate and criticism she received after “Majboor” blew up, Zoha said she has learned not to let negative comments affect her. She added that she remains mentally strong even when facing hate campaigns and chooses to trust the people who supported her from the start.

Zoha also shared some personal details about her journey. She used to sing ghazals and once performed tributes to legendary singer Madam Noor Jehan. Beyond music, she has studied jewellery and gem-making and even runs her own salon as a makeup artist. Her new song “Duur Ve” was released this month.
