Well-known Pakistani actor Nauman Ijaz has shared a deeply personal story about facing cancer. Speaking on a podcast, he revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer in June 2024. Doctors found a tumor near his ear and also detected lymphoma in his stomach.
Nauman said the news shook him, but instead of panicking, he turned to prayer. He asked Allah for mercy and said he was more worried about his family’s pain than his own. A close friend advised him to start reciting Surah Ar-Rahman every day, and he made it a regular part of his routine, especially before sleeping.
Soon after, the tumor near his ear was surgically removed. Doctors had planned to start chemotherapy in July 2024 for the lymphoma. But when new scans were taken, the lymphoma was no longer visible. Because of this, chemotherapy was cancelled. Nauman said this outcome surprised even his doctors, and he strongly believes his daily recitation of Surah Ar-Rahman played an important part in his healing, alongside the medical treatment he received.
He has now shared this experience publicly for the first time, thanking Allah for his recovery and encouraging others to hold on to faith during hard times.
