Senior journalist Iqrar ul Hassan has raised concern about GenZ activist Suleman Sohail, saying the young activist appears to have gone missing after speaking out against certain government policies. According to Iqrar, Suleman’s social media accounts have also gone dark, adding to worries about his safety.
Iqrar said he personally tried reaching out to Suleman to check on him after noticing his sudden absence from social media, but all his attempts to get in touch failed. He said this silence, paired with the deactivated accounts, felt unusual given how active and vocal Suleman had been before.
Suleman Sohail had gained attention as part of Pakistan’s younger generation of online activists, known for speaking openly on social platforms about issues affecting the country. His outspoken posts had reportedly drawn attention before he disappeared from public view.
So far, there has been no independent confirmation of Suleman’s whereabouts or any official statement addressing these claims. As of now, this remains a claim raised by Iqrar ul Hassan, and further details are awaited. If more information comes out, it will bring clarity to what actually happened to the young activist.
