Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has made history by becoming the first Punjabi artist to headline London’s Wembley Stadium. He performed there on September 12 as part of his Aura World Tour, with the show selling out completely. He also won Pakistanis’ hearts for singing NFAK qawwali.
Wembley Stadium’s official Instagram account confirmed the milestone, calling him the first Punjabi artist to headline the venue. Reports on crowd size varied, with numbers ranging from around 90,000 to over 92,000 fans in attendance, putting the show among the venue’s biggest concerts ever, alongside past performances by stars like Michael Jackson and Adele.
Dressed in traditional Punjabi attire, Dosanjh opened the concert with his signature catchphrase and performed several of his popular songs, including “G.O.A.T.” and “Lover.” Fans were also offered a free turban-tying service at the venue, adding a cultural touch to the event.
During the show, Dosanjh announced the next stop on his tour: a concert at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium in India on November 21, 2026. Ticket details for that show have not yet been announced. The Wembley concert marks another major milestone in Dosanjh’s growing international career, following earlier record-breaking shows in Canada and at Coachella.
