Pakistani actor Mahira Khan has announced that she is expecting her second child, sharing the news while attending the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2026. She posted a photograph of herself in a white gown with her hand resting on her baby bump, writing that people make plans, but it is Allah’s plan that ultimately unfolds.
This will be Mahira’s first child with her husband, businessman Salim Karim, whom she married in October 2023. She is already a mother to 17-year-old son Azlan, from her first marriage to Ali Askari, which ended in 2015.
Alongside the pregnancy announcement, Mahira also shared a heartfelt tribute to Azlan, calling him her “one and only” and expressing gratitude for his constant support through her life’s ups and downs. Azlan has often stood by his mother during major moments, including walking her down the aisle at her 2023 wedding to Karim.
Mahira became a mother at the age of 24 and has spoken previously about balancing single motherhood with a growing acting career during her early years in the industry. With her second pregnancy now confirmed, fans and fellow celebrities have flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the actor and her family.
