Cristiano Ronaldo Finally Marries Longtime Partner Georgina Rodriguez

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez. The wedding took place on Tuesday in Cascais, a seaside resort town in Portugal, according to the couple’s representatives.

The marriage came after more than ten years together and days of heavy media speculation in Portugal about where and when the wedding would happen.

Ronaldo, 41, shared a photo of the couple’s hands showing their wedding rings, with a simple caption: “C ❤️ G,” on Instagram.

The couple’s five children were present at what was described as a “private and intimate” ceremony. The wedding took place exactly one year after Rodriguez announced their engagement on Instagram.

Ronaldo currently plays for Saudi club Al Nassr and recently featured for Portugal at the World Cup, where the team was knocked out in the last 16. He has won the Ballon d’Or, football’s top individual award, five times.

Rodriguez, 32, is an influencer who became widely known through her Netflix show “I Am Georgina,” which follows the family’s life around football, fashion, and travel.

Before the wedding, Portuguese media guessed the couple might marry in Sintra or in Funchal, Ronaldo’s hometown. Crowds even gathered outside Funchal’s cathedral hoping to see them, though the cathedral said no ceremony was booked there. In the end, the couple chose Cascais, where they own a villa.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid, where she worked at the time. Together, they have built a massive online following of over 750 million across social platforms, and also run business ventures including fashion brands and hotels.
