Malala Yousafzai Joins Coach’s Global “Just Being Girls” Campaign

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has joined a new global campaign by American fashion brand Coach, focused on celebrating self-expression and cultural voices from around the world. The collaboration is part of Coach’s storytelling platform called &Coach, which falls under its larger “Courage to Be Real” initiative. The platform aims to connect with younger audiences through stories told by influential creatives and changemakers.

As one of the campaign’s featured voices, Malala joined a group of global creatives working to highlight female empowerment and equal opportunities for young women. In a photo shared on Coach’s official Instagram, Malala appeared alongside members of the Pakistan women’s national football team, drawing attention to the need for spaces where girls can freely pursue what they love.

The campaign carries the message “Just Being Girls,” highlighting simple freedoms that many girls around the world still have to fight for. Sharing her thoughts on her own Instagram, Malala explained what the phrase meant to her, saying it was about having the freedom to do things like reading, playing sports, and spending time outdoors with friends.

According to Coach’s chief marketing officer, the campaign reflects a shift in how brands engage with today’s youth, who want to shape their own identities rather than follow a fixed idea of success.

Apart from Malala, the campaign also includes other well-known names such as singer Charli XCX, actress Avantika Vandanapu, and singer PinkPantheress, along with several rising creative talents.
