Former Pakistan cricket captain Wasim Akram is asking the public for help after his pet dog went missing from his home in DHA Phase 8, Karachi.
The dog, named Duke, is a five-month-old German Shepherd. He has black fur, a long coat, and no visible markings that would make him easy to spot. Akram shared the news on his official Instagram account, asking people in the area to stay alert and report any information that might help bring Duke home safely.
Wasim Akram and his wife, Shaniera Akram, believe the puppy may have wandered into nearby parks, gardens, streets, rooftops, or garages. They have asked residents, security guards, and local communities in DHA Phase 8 to check these places carefully and keep an eye out for him.
To encourage people to help, the couple has offered a reward of Rs. 250,000 for anyone who provides real, useful information that leads to Duke being found and safely returned.
The family also asked the public to be careful about what they share. They want people to post only confirmed sightings or credible leads, and to avoid spreading rumors or unverified claims about where Duke might be, since false information could slow down the search.
As of now, Duke is still missing, and the search continues. This isn’t the first time Akram has been in the news recently, earlier this month, he also had to respond publicly to a fake AI-generated video that falsely claimed he had died.
