Pakistani television is gearing up for one of its most anticipated projects in recent years. Renowned actress Saba Qamar has signed up to play the role of Anmol, widely known as “Pinky,” in an upcoming biographical television drama being produced by 7th Sky Entertainment in collaboration with Geo Entertainment.
The project is currently in development and is based on the life of Anmol, whose arrest in Karachi earlier this month drew widespread public attention. What makes this even more exciting is the creative team behind it. Journalist and television host Shahzaib Khanzada is writing the script, the same man who previously penned the hit crime drama Case No. 9, also produced by 7th Sky for Geo TV, which starred Saba Qamar and earned massive praise from audiences.

Pinky left home at the age of 14 to pursue modeling and gradually became part of party circles, where she allegedly developed links with individuals involved in narcotics trafficking. She later married a lawyer associated with an international cocaine gang, and after divorcing him, married a police officer — all while allegedly expanding her drug operations with the help of her brothers.
Investigators claim she was running a sophisticated cocaine processing and delivery operation with links extending beyond Karachi to Lahore, Islamabad, and other cities, supplying narcotics to affluent neighbourhoods, including DHA and Clifton. According to DIG Syed Asad Raza, 28 criminal cases were registered against Anmol between 2018 and 2026 in Karachi and Lahore alone.

The drama will explore Anmol’s rise from a difficult childhood to becoming one of the country’s most talked-about alleged narcotics figures. With Saba Qamar’s proven ability to portray complex, bold women on screen, fans believe she is the ideal choice for this role.
The producers have not yet announced a release date, but the project marks a rare attempt by Pakistani television to bring a recent high-profile criminal case to the screen.
