Sannia Ashfaq has come forward for her first-ever podcast appearance, sitting down with Shahnilah Razzaq to share her account of her marriage to former Pakistan cricketer Imad Wasim and how it fell apart.
Ashfaq claims that during her third pregnancy, Wasim took her to England and then left her at her mother’s house, telling her they both needed space. According to her, he left her there to raise their three children alone before later announcing their separation.
She alleges that around this time, Wasim began spending time with influencer Nyla Rajah, and that the relationship started while she was still pregnant. Ashfaq says she has heard that Rajah works as a lawyer in Islamabad, though she says she doubts this claim.
She also says that after the relationship between Wasim and Rajah became public, several people reached out to tell her that Rajah has a pattern of pursuing married men, noting this would reportedly be Rajah’s third marriage. However, Ashfaq has been clear that she holds both Wasim and Rajah responsible for what happened, not Rajah alone.
Ashfaq also shared that she returned to Pakistan even after receiving the first divorce notice, hoping that seeing their newborn child in person might change Wasim’s mind. According to her, this did not happen; she says he still did not visit the child. She maintains that she tried to keep the marriage together until the very end, but felt Wasim showed little concern for her or their children.
Wasim has not issued a detailed public response to these specific claims, and Rajah has previously denied allegations of an affair.
