Pakistani actor and singer Farhan Saeed is currently winning hearts with his performance in ARY Digital’s latest drama Bas Tera Saath Ho, but not without sparking an interesting debate about age and on-screen believability.
The drama centres on Anas, a young man whose life is turned upside down after the tragic loss of his parents. Left in the care of his relatives, he finds himself in a household that provides shelter but little compassion, reduced to doing chores for the very family he belongs to. Amid all this hardship, his education remains his only hope, supported by a sympathetic aunt who believes in his future.

Farhan Saeed plays Anas, a college student who also tends to housework and cares for his ailing grandfather, while Sana Javed plays Ansa, who studies at the same college and is equally a high achiever.
However, some viewers raised eyebrows over Farhan’s casting as a college student, given that the 36-year-old actor carries a strong and mature screen presence. In response, Farhan addressed the criticism with confidence, saying that if people watch his performance and forget that he is too old to play a college student, that is exactly his success.
The drama is written by the late Saira Raza and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed, and airs on ARY Digital every Monday and Tuesday. With five episodes already aired and audience engagement growing, Bas Tera Saath Ho is shaping up to be one of the most-talked-about dramas of 2026.
