Pakistan has a new beauty queen. Misbah Arshad has been crowned Miss Universe Pakistan, making her the fourth woman to represent the country at this global pageant. She is currently studying psychology and has pageant experience already, she took part in Miss International 2023 in Japan and Miss Supranational 2024 in Poland.
The crowning ceremony took place in Zambales, in the Philippines. Outgoing titleholder Roma Riaz personally handed over the crown and sash to Arshad. Before reaching the final stage, contestants had to go through several rounds, including evening gown, burkini, and traditional dress.

The final and most important part of the competition was the question-and-answer round. Arshad was asked an interesting question: if she could meet her 10-year-old self and her 80-year-old self, which one would ask her a tougher question? Her thoughtful answer was that her younger self would ask the harder question, since a child would be most curious about how her life eventually turned out.
After her win, Arshad shared an emotional message on Instagram about staying hopeful and continuing to work hard, even after setbacks. She also spoke about her white gown, designed by Vietnamese designer Nguyễn Tiến Truyển, explaining that the color white represents hope and the courage to keep believing in your dreams.
Arshad will now travel to Puerto Rico to compete in the 75th Miss Universe pageant, representing Pakistan on the world stage.
