Pakistani singer, actor, and musician Ali Zafar has created history with a record-breaking open-air concert in Mississauga, Canada, drawing a massive crowd of more than 45,000 people to Celebration Square, the largest musical gathering the venue has ever seen.
Ali Zafar opened his first-ever Sufi spiritual tour, titled Roshni, with a sold-out performance in Toronto, delivering a show that left the audience mesmerized from the first note to the last. The set opened with a stirring fusion rendition of Allah Hoo and closed with an electrifying take on Mast Qalandar, blending traditional Sufi devotion with contemporary fusion arrangements.
The Mississauga show served as the grand finale of the North America leg of the Roshni Tour 2026. The crowd was so enormous that it spilled well beyond the boundaries of Celebration Square into surrounding streets, reflecting the overwhelming demand for Ali Zafar’s live performance. Fans from South Asian communities, including those from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh, came together, turning the evening into a true celebration of cultural unity.
Performing for two full hours, Ali Zafar delivered more than 20 songs, keeping the audience engaged throughout. Known for hit songs like Channo, Jhoom, and Madhubala, Zafar has established himself as a versatile artist who effortlessly blends contemporary sounds with cultural roots.
