Hina Javed Murder Case: Husband and Domestic Worker Sent to Jail

A Rawalpindi district and sessions court has sent Hina Javed’s husband, Faisal Asghar, and domestic worker Zeeshan to jail on judicial remand in connection with her murder case.

The two suspects were presented before Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Qasim Javed on Wednesday after completing their four-day physical remand. Police told the court that they no longer needed custody of the suspects for further investigation. The court accepted the request and ordered that both men be sent to jail. They are scheduled to be produced before the court again on September 16.

Police have alleged that Asghar killed Hina with the help of Zeeshan. Investigators have also reported recovering a suspected murder weapon, along with other items believed to be connected to the case. DNA and polygraph tests have also been conducted as part of the investigation.

Hina Javed, a 45-year-old digital media executive, was found dead at her home in Rawalpindi’s Lalkurti area on August 20. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death and are expected to submit the challan before the next hearing.

The allegations against both suspects have not yet been proven in court.
