Mahira Khan Represents Pakistan at British Asian Trust Dinner, Meets King Charles III

Pakistani actress and philanthropist Mahira Khan attended the British Asian Trust Annual Dinner at the Peninsula London hotel, representing Pakistan as a Trust Ambassador at one of the charity’s biggest fundraising events.

The highlight of the evening was Mahira’s meeting with King Charles III, who founded the British Asian Trust in 2007 to fight poverty and inequality across South Asia. The two spoke about her humanitarian work and the causes she has been championing.

Mahira said she was pleasantly surprised by what the King knew. She shared that he was aware of the work she had done with the Trust and the causes she had been supporting, and that she felt encouraged by his interest in the organisation’s development efforts in Pakistan.

At the event, Mahira also spoke strongly about mental health, stressing that raising awareness is just as important as raising money, and that untreated mental health problems can deeply affect individuals and entire communities. She said that no one should ever have to suffer in silence.

The funds raised at the gala will go toward the British Asian Trust’s mental health programmes, including community healthcare initiatives and counselling helplines in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

For the occasion, Mahira wore an antique gold outfit by designer Faraz Manan, with simple jewellery and fresh makeup. Her look quickly went viral, earning widespread praise from fans on social media.
