Pakistani YouTuber and family vlogger Rajab Butt has once again found himself at the center of a social media storm, and this time, a fashion influencer named Laraib Malik is at the heart of it.
Rajab Butt is no stranger to controversy. Known for his family vlogs, he has been involved in several public scandals. Most recently, he made headlines after announcing his divorce from his wife Eman Fatima on a podcast, following which he also sent her a legal notice. The situation already had the internet talking, but things escalated even further when Laraib Malik stepped forward.
Laraib, a fashion and lifestyle influencer, revealed on her Instagram that Rajab had slid into her DMs, calling himself her “big fan.” She wasted no time. She publicly shared screenshots of his message, called it out for what it was, and immediately blocked him. The post went viral, and she received widespread praise for standing her ground without fear of backlash from his fanbase.
Rajab’s response, however, surprised no one who follows his track record. Rather than staying quiet or apologizing, he dismissed Laraib entirely, calling her an unknown nobody and claiming he had reached out to her professionally for a cricket league ambassador role. He even made the deeply disrespectful remark that he could “buy five such girls,” insisting his message had no wrong intentions. He also said, “I’m proud of myself. My one message has made a woman famous, who no one knew for the last 3 years,” and showed a screenshot of her message reaching him instead.
Laraib hit back sharply. She clarified that professional outreach does not come with “big fan” messages. She also shut down his claim that she was trying to gain fame from the situation, pointing out that she does not fake a lifestyle or borrow luxury cars for content, a clear dig at Rajab’s vlogging style.
Rajab then tried a different spin, boasting that his one message had made Laraib famous. The internet was not impressed. Social media users called him out heavily, with many saying his attitude showed exactly why his marriage fell apart.
The whole episode has sparked a larger conversation about accountability among Pakistani content creators, and Laraib Malik has, for many, become the face of setting firm boundaries online.
