Zoro the Golden Retriever From Ehd-e-Wafa Dies at Age 9

Pakistan has lost one of its most loved animal celebrities. Zoro, the golden retriever who became famous through the popular 2019 drama Ehd-e-Wafa, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2026. He was nine years old.

Zoro played the loyal companion of the show’s lead character, Saad, played by Ahad Raza Mir. His cute looks and natural acting made him a fan favourite across Pakistan. People loved him so much that he even had his own Instagram account.

Zoro was a Thai golden retriever and the family pet of the former head of the military’s media wing, which produced Ehd-e-Wafa.

His family shared the sad news on his Instagram page. The announcement read that Zoro was “a wonderful pet who shall be remembered for his loyal real-life character” in the show.

But Zoro was not just a TV star. He was also a regular favourite in the dog show circuit, having won 10 awards. The Pakistan Kennel Club gave him the title of ‘Champion’ in recognition of his impressive wins.

Fans across Pakistan are expressing grief on social media, remembering the good boy who brought joy to millions of screens. Zoro may be gone, but his legacy lives on.
