Pakistani drama Kafeel recently touched millions of hearts across the country. The show told the story of Zeba, a woman trapped in a long, painful, and abusive marriage. What made the drama truly special was not just her struggle, but the role of her son Subuk, played brilliantly by Aashir Wajahat.
Subuk stood by his mother, encouraged her to move on, and helped her understand that she, too, deserved happiness. His support led Zeba to remarry Jamal, even as a mother of grown children. The ending left audiences in tears. But what moved people even more was the discovery that this story already existed in real life.

Pakistani content creator Abdul Ahad had gone viral previously for doing exactly what Subuk did in the drama. When his mother deserved a second chance at love, Abdul Ahad became her greatest support and helped her get married. The internet celebrated him as a hero at the time.

Now, after watching Kafeel, Abdul Ahad posted a heartfelt reaction saying he felt deeply connected to the story and was grateful to have done the same for his own mother in real life.

The response was overwhelming. Kafeel’s director, Meesam Naqvi, sent him warm prayers. Writer Umera Ahmed shared her duas. Actress Uzma Hassan also congratulated him. Pakistan’s internet was full of love for Abdul Ahad once again, a son who proved that real heroes exist outside dramas, too.
