Nabeel Abdullah serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire Retail Limited, the retail and lifestyle division of the Sapphire Group. Under his leadership, the company has grown into one of Pakistan’s recognized fashion and retail brands since its launch in 2014.
Sapphire Group is one of Pakistan’s major family-owned business groups with operations across multiple sectors. The group has interests in textiles, retail, and other industries, contributing significantly to the country’s business landscape.
Within the organization, Nabeel Abdullah leads Sapphire Retail, while Nadeem Abdullah serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Sapphire Textile Mills Limited.
Nabeel Abdullah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the London School of Economics. He has also completed several professional courses at LUMS, strengthening his understanding of business management and strategy.
Before joining the family business, he gained early international exposure through a three-month internship at Citi in London, where he worked within the Commercial Banking division. This experience provided insight into finance and corporate operations before entering the textile and retail industries.
His background in textile manufacturing has played an important role in the expansion of Sapphire into the retail sector. Industry observers believe that combining manufacturing knowledge with retail strategy helped support the company’s rapid growth over the years.
In addition to leading Sapphire Retail Limited, Nabeel Abdullah is also involved in overseeing key areas related to Sapphire Textile Mills, including raw material procurement, production processes, sales operations, accounting, and finance.
Under his leadership, Sapphire Retail has expanded its presence in Pakistan’s fashion market, offering clothing and lifestyle products while competing in the country’s growing retail industry.
His role continues to reflect the importance of strategic leadership, business diversification, and innovation within one of Pakistan’s leading business groups.
