Inside Mahnoor Safdar’s Private Nikah at Jati Umra

Mahnoor Safdar, the youngest daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, got married on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in a private nikah ceremony held at the Sharif family home, Jati Umra, in Lahore.

Her husband, Azaan Jabbar, is the son of businessman Jabbar Khalid, who runs a well-known flour milling business. Reports say the couple studied together at SOAS University of London, where Mahnoor recently completed her degree in Anthropology.

The ceremony was kept low-key, with around 100 guests from close family and friends. Senior Sharif family members attended, including former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, current Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Mahnoor’s brothers, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb were also present.

For the occasion, Mahnoor wore a silver-grey and champagne-coloured bridal outfit, a departure from the brighter colours often seen in Pakistani wedding fashion.

Azaan Jabbar was also spotted wearing a $45,000 (PKR 1.25 Cr) luxury watch at their nikkah ceremony.

Videos of the event, including one showing PM Shehbaz Sharif driving family members to the venue, quickly went viral on social media.
