Karachi court has cleared alleged drug supplier Anmol, known as Pinky, in three narcotics cases that were registered against her at the Gizri police station in 2020, 2021, and 2022. The Additional District and Sessions Judge South, Irshad Hussain, heard her pleas seeking acquittal and eventually approved them all.
Her lawyer, Anam Kausar, told the court that two co-accused in the cases, Ali and Fahmida, had already been acquitted back in 2024. The defence argued that Anmol had only been named in these cases based on statements made by the co-accused, and since those individuals were already cleared, there was no longer a valid basis to keep pursuing charges against her. The court agreed, noting that the prosecution had failed to present sufficient evidence against her.
Anmol was arrested on May 12, 2026, during a joint operation by police and a federal intelligence agency in Karachi’s Garden area, where authorities said they recovered around 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, a 9mm pistol, and chemicals allegedly used to make cocaine. Since her arrest, she has reportedly been named in numerous other cases across Sindh and Lahore, with a CTD charge sheet last month listing more than a dozen cases against her in total.
It’s worth noting that this acquittal applies only to the 2021 Gizri drug case and does not affect the other cases still pending against her, which include additional narcotics and weapons charges, as well as more serious allegations.
