Pakistani actress Arooba Mirza has become the third actress to accuse Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar of online harassment. She shared screenshots on her Instagram Story, saying they were messages sent to her by Chadhar.
According to the screenshots posted by Mirza, the lawmaker allegedly tried to contact her multiple times, even asking her to move the conversation to Snapchat. The screenshots reportedly show that Chadhar kept sending messages even though Mirza did not appear to reply.
Mirza’s accusation comes after two other actresses made similar claims against Chadhar. Actress Momina Iqbal was the first to speak up, saying she faced long-term online harassment, cyberbullying, mental stress, and even death threats from an influential political figure. Following her complaint, a case was registered against Chadhar under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), which deals with cybercrimes in Pakistan. The case is now being investigated by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
Another actress, Tooba Anwar, also came forward recently. She accused Chadhar of offering to gift her an iPhone, which many saw as another example of the lawmaker trying to reach out to actresses in inappropriate ways.
With three actresses now making public accusations against the same lawmaker, the case is drawing wider attention on social media and in the news. Many people are calling for a fair and thorough investigation, especially since one case is already under formal legal review with the NCCIA.
As of now, there is no confirmed public response from Saqib Chadhar addressing these latest allegations by Arooba Mirza. The story is still developing, and further legal action may follow, depending on the outcome of the ongoing investigation linked to Momina Iqbal’s complaint.
