Khushhal Khan has won the Emerging Talent of the Year award at the 24th Lux Style Awards. The 25-year-old actor received the honor for his powerful performance as Shahmir Adam in the hit drama serial “Dunyapur,” beating out fellow nominees Naeema Butt, Sehr Hashmi, and Shahira Jalil Al-Basit.
Born on March 2, 2000, in Nowshera, Khushhal Khan belongs to a Khattak Pashtun family that traces its lineage to the legendary 17th-century poet and warrior Khushal Khan Khattak. He began his career as a model in 2021, winning the Hum Style Awards Rising Model award before transitioning to acting with his debut in “Qissa Meherbano Ka” the same year.
His breakthrough came with “Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri” in 2023, where he portrayed the love-struck hero Saim Ibrahim, capturing hearts nationwide. However, it was his role in “Dunyapur” that truly established him as one of Pakistan’s most promising young actors. The drama, reportedly Pakistan’s most expensive television production to date, showcased his ability to portray complex characters caught in power struggles and emotional turmoil.
Khushhal’s versatility extends beyond acting. In January 2025, he surprised fans by making his amateur boxing debut at an international event in Lahore, winning by knockout. His commitment to fitness and willingness to embrace new challenges have earned him respect beyond the entertainment industry.
The actor has quickly become a trendsetter among Pakistan’s youth, with a strong social media presence and collaborations with major fashion and lifestyle brands. His upcoming projects include the Netflix series “Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo,” marking his entry into global streaming platforms.
Despite facing financial challenges that prevented him from attending acting school, Khushhal’s resilience and dedication to quality work have propelled him to the forefront of Pakistan’s entertainment industry. His win at the Lux Style Awards validates his rapid rise and confirms his status as one of television’s brightest emerging talents.
