Well-known Pakistani-American businessman Ali Sheikhani has reportedly announced that he will give a flat to the mother of one-and-a-half-year-old Aizal, the Karachi toddler whose death last month shocked the country.
Aizal died on August 5 in the Qayyumabad area of Karachi. According to police, the child was taken out by a close relative and later found in critical condition. She was rushed to a private hospital and then referred to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, but she died before reaching the hospital. Her case sparked outrage on social media, with many people demanding justice for the family.
Ali Sheikhani, originally from Karachi, now lives in Houston, Texas, where he runs the Sheikhani Group, a company with businesses in retail, food, fuel stations, and real estate. He also serves as an elected constable in Fort Bend County. Sheikhani is known in Pakistan for charity work through the Shamim Sheikhani Foundation, named after his late mother, which has supported needy families in the past.
Reports on social media say Sheikhani wants to help Aizal’s mother rebuild her life after the tragedy by giving her a home of her own. As of now, neither Sheikhani nor his organisation has issued an official, detailed statement confirming the exact value or location of the flat.
