Former Pakistani television actress and now content creator Arij Fatyma has shared a personal update with her followers, revealing that she survived cancer and has since built a new life away from the entertainment industry.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Arij reintroduced herself to her growing audience of both Pakistani and international followers, many of whom are new to her page. She explained that she was born in North Carolina and comes from a mixed Pakistani-Indian and Iranian background. She spent more than ten years working as an actress in Pakistan before eventually moving back to the United States to settle down and start a family.
Arij also spoke about the health struggle she went through. She revealed that she had been diagnosed with choriocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She shared that the experience changed how she looks at life, and that she now lives with only one ovary, along with a stronger sense of gratitude and appreciation for the time she has been given.
After stepping away from acting, Arij built a new career path. She worked as a social media director and account executive at a well-known Fortune 500 company. Today, she lives a quieter, suburban life in Toledo, Ohio, where she balances motherhood, her job, and content creation.
Arij was last seen on screen in the 2019 drama Hasad and is fondly remembered for her earlier roles in dramas such as Aap Ke Liye, Meri Beti, and Aik Pal.
