Mahira Khan Slammed for “Hypocrisy” Over Gaza Fundraiser

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan is facing criticism online after attending a fundraising event in London for Gaza. Khan, who has millions of followers on social media, is known for her acting talent and popularity across many hit dramas.

At the London event, Khan wore an outfit designed by a Pakistani fashion brand and appeared in videos shared on Instagram. The event was organized by an international community group to raise money for people in Gaza.

However, many social media users felt the event did not look like a real charity fundraiser. Instead, it seemed more like a self-promotion event, with Khan dancing to music, receiving paintings made of her, and answering fan questions about her dramas and co-stars.

People also criticized Khan for what they called hypocrisy. Users pointed out that while she supports the Gaza cause, she has advertised an Israeli-linked beauty brand for years and recently appeared in a Pepsi ad. Many questioned how raising funds through dancing and entertainment connects to genuine support for Gaza. Some comments asked where the seriousness and sympathy were for people suffering in the region.

This is not the first time celebrities have faced backlash for mixing entertainment with humanitarian causes. Many fans feel that charity events should focus more on the cause than on celebrity promotion.

Mahira Khan has not responded publicly to the criticism so far. She continues to be a leading name in the industry and will next appear in a new drama serial.
