Toyota Vigo Swept Away in Kunhar River During Viral TikTok Stunt

A TikTok influencer known as Sultan Virk, who calls himself the “Sultan of Virkgarh,” has been arrested along with three other tourists after a dangerous stunt in Naran’s Kunhar River went viral.

According to police, the group drove a Toyota Vigo into the river while filming content. This happened despite Section 144 being imposed in Mansehra district, which bans public access to rivers and bathing points due to safety risks during high water flow.

The situation turned dangerous when the vehicle lost control in the fast-moving current, causing all four men to fall into the river. Rescue teams responded quickly and pulled them out safely before any deaths occurred. However, the vehicle was swept away by the strong water flow.

Authorities identified the suspects as residents of Sheikhupura. They were presented before a court after their arrest, and officials said legal action is being taken for violating safety restrictions and putting lives at risk for social media content.

Sultan Virk already had a strong online following because of his flashy rural persona. This incident brought him even more attention, and reports about his family background also started circulating online, though officials have not commented on those claims.

This incident has once again raised concerns about influencers taking dangerous risks for viral videos, especially in tourist spots like Naran, where sudden changes in river currents can be extremely dangerous.
