After 10 Years Away, Imran Khan Confirms His Bollywood Comeback with Netflix

Bollywood actor Imran Khan is finally returning to films after a 10-year break. He confirmed the news himself in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, saying he had just finished shooting his first movie in a decade, titled Adhure Hum Adhure Tum.

The film will stream on Netflix and is expected to release by the end of this year. Khan described it as a “grown-up romantic comedy” that fits where he is in life now.

Khan was last seen on screen in Katti Batti (2015) alongside Kangana Ranaut, and he later made a brief cameo in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. But fans have long wanted to see him back in a lead role, similar to his popular films Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

In the new movie, Khan will star opposite young actor Gurfateh Pirzada. He is also reuniting with director Danish Aslam, with whom he worked on Break Ke Baad. Khan said the new film feels like a natural continuation of that story, made 15 years later, now that both he and Aslam have more life experience; Aslam has gotten married, while Khan has been through a divorce.

He called the project deeply personal, saying it came from a genuine wish to tell a story with old friends. Filming has already wrapped, and the movie is now in post-production, with the release date to be decided by Netflix.
